SASSA Takes Services to Fernie Local Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA might be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it is alarmed with regards to the higher variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area every day. The services stage produced for intervention experiences a significant influx of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who take a look website at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to empower the servicing of all clients and maximize use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
